My name is Claudia Musa. I lived in Orland park majority of my life and was born in Oaklawn at Christ Hospital. My family is very important to me, especially my siblings. I have two sisters one older and a younger. My sisters are the closes people to me. I have many hobbies such as playing volleyball, shopping, volunteering in the community especially my church. I played volleyball for 5 years ay my church league and really got close to the fellowship members. Being involved in my church community helped me branch out to volunteers at different places.
I am currently a senior at Governors State University, and I am pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a certification in English Language Learning. I decided to go into Early Childhood Education because I believe that educating the minds of young children is crucial to their successful development. I have learned a great deal throughout my studies at Governors State, as well as in my work experience as a preschool teacher at Sandbox School in Homer Glen. As a preschool teacher at Sandbox for a little over 2 years, I have had the opportunity to work with children of various age groups. During my first year at Sandbox, I worked with school-age children and five-year olds. The following year, I transitioned to working with toddlers ages 15 months to 2 years. I cherish the time within my classrooms at Sandbox, and get excited at seeing the children’s faces light up with pleasure and excitement as they master new concepts.
